SmallRig introduces a case for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K and 4K fit for the battery grip.
SmallRig has hundreds of available accessories for a variety of cameras. Need a baseplate for a RED or cheese plate for a Panasonic AU-EVA-1? They’ve got them both, and the best part of all, the products are very budget-friendly. The other nice thing about the company is they allow anyone to submit ideas for production. If they adopt it, you receive one for free and get design credit.
Such is the case for the SmallRig Camera Cage for BMPCC 4K and 6K with Battery Grip designed by Yetta White. The Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Cameras are some of the most popular image capture devices around, but one of its biggest flaws is battery life. It has improved since the original Pocket Cinema Camera, but using the optional battery grip for the BMPCC 6K/4K is the way to go. It’s powered by two Sony L-series batteries and mounts on the bottom of the camera providing around 2 hours of runtime, which is about double the time when using the native battery alone.
