Tamron Reveals 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 All-in-One Zoom for Sony

Tamron has just introduced its 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD Lens, now the fastest all-in-one zoom in its class, with a maximum aperture of f/2.8 at the widest end. This should help many zoom lens enthusiasts who are looking to capture a little extra light in dim conditions.

Designed specifically for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, Tamron’s new zoom is a great match as it measures a mere 4.6″ long and weighs 20.3 ounces, which makes it a comfortable and versatile “one-camera, one-lens” walkaround rig. Tamron’s latest zoom lens features moisture-resistant construction, fluorine coatings, and a Zoom Lock switch that mean it will hold up in a range of shooting conditions.

Other features found on the 28-200mm include Tamron’s RXD silent focusing motors, close-up shooting with a 7.5″ minimum focus distance at 28mm with a magnification ratio of 1:3.1, a seven-bladed diaphragm, and 67mm filter threads.
